Your transitory absence like a numbness on my fingers,
Your presence stolen but in paralysis your essence lingers,
My allegory replays in surprising evanescence,
Its sharp stiffening story enmeshed in luminescence.
So when I seek those fever-like feelings,
There is nothing there to prove the permanence,
The fervor never healing, the frenzy unrevealing,
I am in enraptured, captured by the ecstasy I'm stealing.
But when you leave, my need is annealing.
My rooted-requisite displaced by your ubiquity,
My interpretation lost in your ambiguity,
My enchantment in your obliquity,
And the distance due to our contiguity.
